Triduum Latinum 2025
Triduum Latinum 2025
This Triduum, “period of three days”, will be spent helping to further activate your Latin. This full-immersion Latin weekend will help take you to the next level, whether you have one year’s Latin or a long career teaching it behind you. Our experienced teacherswill lead you to fearless spoken Latin through a variety of games, exercises, and outdoor activities.
This workshop is both for those who have some prior knowledge of Latin, but have never previously used it as a spoken language, as well for those who may not have used it for a while, but want to get back into the swing of things. In addition to the regular daily use that comes from an immersive learning experience, we will offer classroom exercises to reinforce and improve your mastery of the more important features of the language, and group discussions of original texts be conducted in Latin, led by one of the magistri. The Triduum combines a week-end dive into the Church’s Latin heritage with an intensive, immersive experience of the language itself.

Dr. John Pepino, PhD
Academic Dean
Magister
Dr. Pepino teaches Latin and Greek at Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary, the seminary of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter (FSSP) in Nebraska, USA. He also teaches online Latin courses using Hans Orberg’s Lingua Latina series. His own bilingual background (French and English) and boyhood in multilingual Europe predisposed him to a natural, oral/aural approach to Latin. His interests also include the decline of the living Latin culture in the Western Church as well as the means the Holy See advocates to recover it.
