Among the many seminarians and religious whom VSI has the privilege of forming, the Canons Regular of St. John Cantius in Chicago has a particular mission to “restore the sacred”, both for personal sanctification and for the holiness of others. They do this in a primary way through service in parish churches and the celebration of solemn liturgies and a robust devotional life, as well as through sacred art and sacred music, and instruction in church heritage, catechetics, and Catholic culture.
We currently have four of their novices in formation with VSI for their primary Latin instruction. It is a joy to collaborate with the Canons in fulfillment of their mission.
